Lack
09.28.06 (1:31 pm) [edit]
Having Not Having We all know what it feels like to want something we don't have. It may be a pair of expensive jeans, a romantic partner, or rent money; it may be a certain attitude, a car, or a savings account. This is part of life, and in the best-case scenario, we experience a constant flow of money, companions and experiences, in and out of our lives. However, many of us linger in a state of wanting and not having, a state of lack that never seems to subside. We consistently perceive ourselves as not having what we need or not having what we want. This is an energetically draining state to be in. It is also self-perpetuating because how we feel about ourselves determines what we are able to create for ourselves.
How we feel profoundly influences how we perceive our reality. When we feel we are lacking, we look around and see what is not there. On the other hand, if we feel abundant, we can look at the very same situation and see a completely different picture, one full of blessings and advantages. The more we see the blessings, the more abundant we feel, and the more blessings we attract. Similarly, if we see lack, we tend to create and attract that energy.
If you find yourself habitually residing in a feeling of lack, it may be due to a core belief formed in your childhood or even in a past life. It may be because you are out of touch with your inner divinity, which is the source of your abundance. In any case, know that your perception of lack is a misperception that can be corrected with awareness and effort. It can be as simple as taking 10 or 15 minutes each day to quiet your mind and imagine yourself in a state of unlimited abundance, handling the financial demands and others in your life with total ease, drawing from an endless supply of resources. Know that it is your birthright to be fully supported in the fulfillment of your needs and desires. http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2006/4954.html" title="http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2006/4954.html" target="_blank"http://www.dailyom.com/articl...

Smoking, Party Planning, the life and times of Doe
09.26.06 (8:50 am) [edit]
My MIL turns 70 in just a few days. We're having a big bash for her on Saturday night. So I've been busy with a lot of the preparation. I'm putting together a DVD for her. A sort of, "This is your life" type thing. My husband has 4 siblings, who are all married with children and most now have grandchildren as well. Yep, I'm up to my ears in pictures. All of which have to be scanned...All 200+ pictures. I'm trying to make sure there's an equal amount of pictures of each person, etc.. Between that, the food and my SIL that calls me every little whip stitch to make sure I'm doing my hooty duties, I'm ready to run away from home!!!!!!! (actually my SIL is very sweet. I'm sure she's just as stressed and nervous as I am and probably more so, since the party is at her house.) Of course, in my infinite wisdom, I chose this week to quit smoking!! Argh, maybe not the best idea, huh? Today is day 4. The first couple days were a breeze but, yesterday around 1 pm, I nearly had a panic attack! So the long and short of it is, my timing sucks! I picked a terrible time to try and kick the habit! Wish me luck. PS Our friend Scott that I asked y'all to pray for...he's not doing well. Please continue to remember him your prayers. Blessings to everyone :-) Love and Light, Do(p)e

I nearly cracked up when I found this site! I don't know why I found it so humorous? Thank God my husband hasn't been more or less attracted to me, due my hairstyles. Well, he might have been but, OH YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN! Just read...... http://www.tlhs.org/" title="http://www.tlhs.org/" target="_blank"http://www.tlhs.org/ I've had bad hair days, bad hair cuts, bad perms, bad coloring... and I lived to tell the tale. | Boob Lift or Bust ! ? ! |
09.21.06 (12:12 pm) [edit]
Get the boost without going under the knife Pills and creams and surgery, oh my! The lengths that women will go to for great breasts are extreme, but you don’t have to go under the knife to perk up. Maybe you’ve just had a baby, maybe you’re staring the big four-oh in the face or maybe years of sitting hunched over a computer have taken their toll on your posture. No matter the reason, the first place to look for results isn’t the operating table. You can create your very own boob lift at home, with these three easy-to-do exercises. So ask yourself: Are your boobs up to the challenge? Plus: Find out what your fitness style is… There’s no quick fix for getting a bigger chest. No magic pill will make your breasts grow to gargantuan proportions. And surgery, while boasting instant results, actually requires months of painful recovery. Why bother when a few pushups each day can offer you the same results? Sure, you’ll have to sweat, but that’s what showers are for. Don’t wimp out and take the so-called “easy” route of trusting your best assets to a carving knife – not until you’ve explored all of your options, at least. Exercise takes dedication and perseverance. Luckily, those are qualities every woman has, whether you know it or not. Some just take a bit longer to realize this, but you do have it in you. Step up to the challenge, and when you see the results you’ll be glad you put in the effort. Here are three exercises you can do right now for perkier pecs. No dumbbells? Grab a couple water bottles or soup cans and get busy! Please, if you pray, say a prayer for a family friend who was just dx'd with cancer. His prognosis isn't good and he has two very young children.
If you don't pray, please keep a good thought for him.
Thanks so much!

Independence
09.18.06 (12:29 pm) [edit]
Along with disability comes a certain amount of loss in independence. Not that I've ever been completely independent. I had my first baby when I was 18 and was married the first time at 19. Yes I know, I did that backwards. Had another baby when I was 20 and divorced when I was 21. I married my present husband when I was 22, had another baby when I was 23! Yes I was busy, busy, busy between 18 and 23 but, it only got busier. My husband had 2 daughters when we got married, so if you're keeping track, that's 5 kiddos! Count 'em 5! Although I worked all those years, I was more interested in raising my children than making money. Luckily for the most part, the baby sitters and daycares were far and few between. I was very lucky! I realize that not everyone has that opportunity. So even though I worked, I never really made great money and for the most part I worked part time. (outside my home that is) About the time the kiddos were all in school and I could work a full time job and maybe even (gasp) have a career, I was diagnosed with MS. I continued to work for about another year after my dx. All I did then was work, sleep, work, sleep..it was not worth it! I felt so guilty and I missed my family. I was too tired from working to do much else though. So I quit! I applied for disability and got it...woo friggity hoo, right? Well, it is something to be grateful for but, since I was mostly a part time worker, I didn't make enough for my disability to amount to much, which sucks. So recently I've decided I must, must, must do something to make money! As I mentioned earlier in my blog (look down) I've been researching liquid nutrition. I've tried one product, didn't like it and I am in the process of trying another one. Yes it's an MLM but, hey that's OK. If it's a good product I don't mind the multi level marketing thing. I've also been looking at ways to make money with blogs. Now before I go any further, I have to tell you, I am not a computer guru and I really doubt I ever will be but, I've added these links, applied to some of the affiliate marketing companies, etc.. I figure, what the heck have I got to lose? I didnt' start blogging with the intentions of making money though, it was a secondary thought to all of this. I also want you to know that I'm not delusional (is that even a word?) in my thinking. I don't think I'll get rich by blogging. There are things I want to do that I simply cannot afford to do unless I make money. My husband is a very good provider and in most other ways a wonderful husband but, he isn't into home improvement. We have a lovely old home but, there are things you have to keep up with in order for it to stay lovely and no matter how much I beg, plead, stomp my feet or hold my breath, I can't seem to get him on board, so I want to hire some things done. These are things that in the past, I would have done myself. I'd also like to do more for our children and other folks. I have my intentions set on a few charitable things I'd like to accomplish, so with all these goals in mind I'm moving forward with my plans to become more independent! Wish Me Luck and I'll let you all know how the MLM goes or if it goes at all. :-)

Do you ever fall asleep with the TV on?I do it all the time and most of the time, I'm tuned into HGTV. It never fails, I redecorate my house in my dreams. Today was different, I decorated someone else's house! Won't they be sad when they find out I'm doing it in red, white and blue? When I woke up, I was in the middle of making curtains. I think I should be HGTV's new design star! I'm grateful for afternoon naps!

For $9.95 I've gone far!
09.14.06 (1:55 pm) [edit]
First I must tell you, that on a good day and when I'm standing up straight, I'm every bit of five foot and two inches. I've never minded being on the short side at all, as a matter of fact, I prefer it. I'm not sure why, I guess it's all I know.
But being short does come with challenges. First there comes the high cabinets in the kitchen. You know, the ones that you keep the crockpot, blender and Wesson Oil in? Which can be quite frustrating if you're trying to make a margarita, beef stew or want to make salad dressing.
If my six foot tall son or daughter, (yes you read that right, I have two children that are six foot tall) or husband aren't home, it means I have to screw up the nerve to scale the kitchen counters, after which I would have to periously hold on to the pot rack or the woodwork around the window once I was up there, grab the small appliance and try to put it on the counter without dropping it or myself on the floor. Another problem was getting back down! Finally one day after feeling stuck on the kitchen counter once more, I decided enough was enough, I simply had to buy myself a step stool. So I got out the Target ad and there it was, a bright shiney red step stool. It was vintage looking. It was identical to the one my Mother had in her kitchen when I was a little girl, except hers was yellow. It had the fold down steps and a chair with a back, so you could also use it as another place to sit! How could you not love that?!? So off to Target I go with charge card in hand. I wandered back to the dept. that the stools were in. I knew exactly what I was going for and I found it. I knew it cost $29.95 because I had looked at it in the ad. For some unknown reason and this happens to me a lot, I started squeaking! You know the kind of squeak you get when you get tight? As in CHEAP? I prefer to call it frugal, but whatever? So anyway, I passed up the red step stool that I so badly wanted and kept pushing my cart, sort of argueing with myself. "oh don't be silly, it's only thirty bucks and you really need it" "yes but, you could do the same thing with a kitchen chair, which by the way, you already own" "yes, but this would look so good in my kitchen and it reminds me of Mom" "your kitchen looks fine the way it is and all you have to do is pick up the phone and call your Mother if you want to be reminded of her" Then I saw it, the cutest little wooden step stool you've ever seen. It was kind of like a child's step stool, but it had a knotch cut out of the top, so you could pick it up and carry it with you. I looked at the price tag, $9.95! cha ching! I'll take it! I've had my little wooden stool for, oh, probably 2 years now and I use it everyday single day! I've been able to use storage space in my house that I never would have used before. I've used my little wooden stool to sit on while I plant flowers and given the dog a bath. Baby Girl likes to stand on it while she and Papaw make scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast or for when she's brushing her teeth. All in all I'd say it was well worth the ten dollars I spent on it. It has afterall taken me places I would have otherwise been unable to go! I'm grateful for my little wooden stool.

09.13.06 (10:51 am) [edit]
I've been waiting for inspiration to strike me all morning but, it just hasn't?
So I spent a little time gussying up my page. At least I got to be a *bit* creative. I also spent some time last night and this morning cruising through tblog reading some of the blogs. I came across one in particular that I want to keep tabs on. Lori has a lovely blog dedicated to memory of her daughter Ali. As soon as I get out of this page and post, I'll come back and edit with the url of Lori's blog. I've got too many windows open and so many things going on at once here....ugh. Multi-tasking isn't something that MSers are particularly good at, as a rule. Which leads me to my next thought...yes, I have MS, which is actually how I found tblog. I began reading Cutter's blog several months ago.
I followed Cutter here and eventually started clicking on the links of those who responded and so on. So to Cutter, I say a big Thank You! Since my inspiration seems to be a bit dried up today, I'll leave you with this thought. This is an excerpt from the book, Napoleon Hill's A Year of Growing Rich, 52 steps to achieving Life's Rewards
STOP MAKING FAILURES OF OUR CHILDREN: NOT ALL DELINQUENCY STEMS FROM THE SAME CAUSES, OF COURSE..
In many cases, however, I suspect it results from excessively harsh rules that are too strictly enforced. And I fear, too, that many parents fail to realize that the boundless energy that leads youth into trouble can be easily directed toward tremendous success. The person who is listless and lazy, lacking the spirit of adventure, is not the one who will achieve great things. Many men and women who attain high places in our cvilization are "troublemakers"--free spirits who aren't afraid to defy convention to strike out on the new trails, to jar their followers out of lethargy. If your child is such a courageous energetic person, be glad. Help him or her learn to channel a forceful character toward success in life. Praise your children for their willingness to try anything. Show them how to learn from their mistakes when they take a wrong turn. Above all, give them your praise rather than your condemnation, for somehow it is human nature for people to live up to the reputation which others give them. | Amazing the difference a day makes! |
09.12.06 (10:36 am) [edit]
So yes as you know if you've been reading my blog, that I'm a firm believer in the power of thought. I strive for peace in my life but, as you've seen by my own words, it doesn't always pan out. Ah but there's where faith comes into play.
I have faith that tomorrow will be a better day and today is yesterday's tomorrow and it is a BETTER DAY!
I won't go into the why's and wherefore's of how yesterday sucked in a lot of ways, but I will tell you that I was grateful for every bit of it. I learned something, I grew from it and today I'm all the better for it.
Everyday I'm grateful for even the most basic of things. My dishwasher for example. By all rights it should be on it's last legs but, it's not and everyday I fill it up and it washes my dishes!! How great is that?!?
I don't take for granted that my son makes it home safely everynight or that I have a roof over my head or or or.....you get the idea.
I desire to be understanding of all people but, I'm not. I have a long way to go on that one. I want to love all people but, I don't. I get downright angry at people sometimes. I don't want to be that way, so I'm working on it. Praying for guidance and I receive it. Not always in my time though.
Please know that when you read my blog, I appreciate it and if you leave a comment, even better!
Yes, Today is a better day!!!!
peace is a deepening of the present

We Don't Need to Suffer!
09.12.06 (7:23 am) [edit]
Another article from the Daily OM Learn And Let Flow We Don't Need To Suffer The idea that we have to suffer or live in poverty in order to be spiritual is an old one and can be found in the belief systems of many philosophies. Most of us carry this idea around subconsciously, and we may be holding ourselves back from financial or emotional well-being, believing that this is what we must do in order to be virtuous, spiritually awake, or feel less guilty for the suffering of others.
While it's true that there can be a spiritual purpose to experiencing a lack of material well-being, it is rarely intended to be a permanent or lifelong experience. What we are meant to find when material or emotional resources are in short supply is that there is more to our lives than the physical realm. Intense relationships and material abundance can distract us from the subtler realm of the spirit, so a time of deficiency can be spiritually awakening. However, once we recognize the realm of spirit, and remember to hold it at the center of our lives, there is no reason to dwell in poverty or emotional isolation. In fact, once our connection to spirit is fully intact, we feel so compelled to share our abundance that lack becomes a thing of the past.
If you find that you are experiencing suffering in some area of your physical life, perhaps your spirit is asking you to look deeper in your search for what you want. For example, if you want money so that you can experience the feeling of security but money keeps eluding you, your spirit may be asking you to understand that security is not to be found through money. Security comes from an unshakable connection to your soul. Once you make that connection, money will probably flow more easily into your life. If relationships elude you, your spirit may be calling you to recognize that the love you seek is not to be found in another person. And yet, ironically, once you find the love, your true love may very well appear. If you feel stuck in suffering to live a spiritual life, try to spend some time writing about it. The root of the problem will appear and it may not be what you expected. Remember, the Universe wants you to be happy.

Where were you five years ago today 9/11/2001?
09.11.06 (7:18 am) [edit]
Where were you five years ago today 9/11/2001? I was here at my computer, reading a message board when someone posted about the planes crashing into the WTC. I was getting ready to go to a doctor's appointment. I turned on the television and couldn't believe what I was seeing. I didn't know what to do. I wondered if our whole country would be under attack. I wondered if I needed to get my kids from school or cancel my appointment. I was worried about the close proximity of my husband's work and the middle school to the airport here in town. I didn't know what would happen next. I was just in shock and felt the need to take some kind of action? What? I had no clue.
Then my phone rang and it was my ex-husband telling me that his brother, who worked at the pentagon couldn't be located. Actually nobody could reach him by phone, so he asked me to pray. As it turned out he was fine and wasn't in the building at all.
I ended up going to my appointment and not picking up my kids. The rest of the day was much like everyone else's day that awful day, with the TV on watching in disbelief. I carried a sick feeling around for weeks after that.
Hard to believe it's been 5 yrs
In the following days, an American Flag couldn't be found for purchase. Everyone had decals, magnets and flags on their cars. I remember there was a particular day that everyone was supposed to light a candle at a certain time and all around our neighborhood, there were lit candles on the porches. On that day we came together as a country. Now I have to wonder what has happened. We are a country divided. It's so disheartening. They got what they wanted. if you want peace of mind, find fault with no one

Alive in Joy
09.09.06 (5:26 pm) [edit]
Here's an article I found on the net. Agree or Disagree? http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2006/4856.html" title="http://www.dailyom.com/articles/2006/4856.html" target="_blank"http://www.dailyom.com/articl... September 8, 2006 Alive In Joy Dispelling Drama There are scores of people in the world who seem to be magnets for calamity. They live their lives jumping from one difficult situation to the next, surrounded by unstable individuals. Some believe themselves victims of fate and decry a universe they regard as malevolent. Others view their chaotic circumstances as just punishments for some failing within. Yet, in truth, neither group has been fated or consigned to suffer. They are likely unconsciously drawing drama into their lives, attracting catastrophe through their choices, attitudes, and patterns of thought. Drama, however disastrous, can be exciting and stimulating. But the thrill of pandemonium eventually begins to frustrate the soul and drain the energy of all who embrace it. To halt this process, we must understand the root of our drama addiction, be aware of our reactions, and be willing to accept that a serene, joyful life need not be a boring one.
Many people, so used to living in the dramatic world they create, feel uncomfortable when confronted with the prospect of a lifetime of peace and contentment. The drama in their lives serves multiple purposes. Upset causes excitement, prompting the body to manufacture adrenaline, which produces a pleasurable surge of energy. For those seeking affection in the form of sympathy, drama forms the basis of their identity as a victim. And when drama is familial, many people believe they can avoid abandonment by continuing to play a key role in the established family dynamic. The addiction to drama is fed by the intensity of the feelings evoked during bouts of conflict, periods of uncertainty, and upheaval.
Understanding where the subconscious need for drama stems from is the key to addressing it effectively. Journaling can help you transfer this need from your mind onto a benign piece of paper. After repeated writing sessions, your feelings regarding the mayhem, hurt feelings, and confusion often associated with drama become clear. When you confront your emotional response to drama and the purpose it serves in your life, you can reject it. Each time you consciously choose not to take part in dramatic situations or associate with dramatic people, you create space in your inner being that is filled with a calm and tranquil stillness and becomes an asset in your quest to lead a more centered life. All comments are welcomed. God is very quiet, for there is no conflict in Him

Happy Friday to Everyone!! I hope this finds you well. Today is a much better day than yesterday. Even though I strive for complete calm in my life, there are times that it doesn't happen. Today however is back to normal aka calm. I have "baby girl" here with me, so she's kept me entertained. I really want to write something profound, but I'm so blasted tired, I just can't seem to muster up profound today. Maybe next week? With that said, everyone have a wonderful weekend and be good to one another. Love and Light Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves

GOOD MORNING! A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22 I've been reading Napoleon Hill's "A year of Growing RICH, 52 steps to achieving Life's Rewards" Here's an excerpt from the book I'd like to share with everyone today. The Power of Mental Attitude Whatever your mind can conceive and believe, your mind can achieve!! The Creator of all things gave you complete, unchallengeable control over one thing-the privilege of conditioning your mind with any sort of mental attitude you desire. Your mental attitude is the medium by which you can balance your life and your relationship to people and circumstances-to attract what you desire. This book isn't just about monetary rewards, it's about being blessed with the rewards that make us happiest. Not that having money is a bad thing, because it's not! I for one am a big fan of money but, what good would all the riches in the world do us, without the love and respect of our family and friends? Nadda! Personal success, is as important if not more important, than financial success. This is a great little book and an easy read. So if you get the chance to pick it up, go for it!!! It's not the same as "Think and Grow Rich" I find this book far better. It's a compilation of fifty two articles, one for each week of the year. None of the articles are long or difficult to understand but, they are filled with inspiration. stay tuned... Love and Light!

What, I've been at this only a few days and already I'm finding myself without things to say. Let's see if I can dig deep! I woke up this morning thinking it was Monday. These long holiday weekends really throw me off. Of course, sometimes it doesn't take much. I think today I will take down summer decorations on the outside of my house and try to remember where I stored the fall decorations. That should prove to be an adventure. It always bugs me to see Christmas lights on a house in February (you know what I'm talking about) so I try to stay current! Can't be a hypocrite, now can I? Of course there are no Christmas lights to take down today, just a red, white and blue bunting and a summer wreath. A friend that I met on the net several years ago and have met in person a couple times has a son who is being sent to Kuwait today. I believe he's in the airforce. Keep a good thought for TJ. and all our other men and women that are serving our country. I can't say I agree with this war, but I certainly support our troops. I've been doing some research on liquid nutrition and I think I've finally settled on one. Not to mention I've been praying about going into business for myself and I feel this might be right for me. I'm going to try it out myself first and see exactly what it does and how I feel. That way if I do decide to become a distributor, I'll be able to give an honest testimony to how well it works and if it doesn't do a blasted thing for me, I'll move on. Stay Tuned... Love and Light to everyone!

HAPPY LABOR DAY 2006
09.04.06 (9:12 am) [edit]
Looking back over this, I'm feeling very guilty for writing what I did about my husband's family...ugh I know their hearts are in the right place, I just need to stop being so sensitive. Labor Day, hmmm. Not to crazy about this holiday. I much prefer memorial day. My preference has nothing at all to do with what each day represents, but everything to do with the time of year. I hate being cold and I know winter is just around the corner :( If it would just be winter until January 2, then fine! I could handle that, but those long gray days in January and February get to be a bit much. I would love to move to someplace warm. Or just have a winter and summer home. That way I could be where I wanted to be or where it was warm. I was in West Palm Beach last December and I must admit, that was odd. It was Christmas time and people were wearing shorts and hanging lights from Palm Trees. To me that is just so not right! Of course it's perfectly natural to native Floridians. I much prefer a white Christmas. I wouldn't even mind the cold so much if there was snow on the ground. It's those gloomy days that when you look out your window, all you see are bare trees and gray skies. I love our home in the summer! All the beautiful old maple trees, shrubs, flowers and green, green grass. I could mosey around outside practically all day long, picking at the spent blossoms, seeing what bloomed that day, mowing the lawn. Nothing like shorts and flip flops to make you feel young! When I was younger, we lived by a lake and I spent nearly every day of every summer at that lake. I even worked there as a life guard for a couple of summers. I guess it's the care free, laid back pace of summer that I enjoy. In the winter it's all I can do to walk to my mailbox. OK, I think I've driven that point home. No sense in beating a dead horse and not much I can do about the seasons changing anyway. And besides, it's technically still Summer, so instead of bitching about it, I should just enjoy it while it's here...YES? So we went to the cookout yesterday. Naturally I was offended within 5 mins of my MIL arriving. There's always so much tension where my husband's family is concerned. I have to ask myself, is this just my perception of them or are they really all that uptight and fussy? And I don't mean uptight and fussy in the snobbish kind of way, I mean uptight like, always looking for something to complain about and ready to argue a ridiculous point. And sometimes they can be so, so, ...what's the word I'm looking for? Vulgar? Yes, that's one word to describe it. And NOSEY! Oh my, my husband's sisters are two of the nosiest people I know!! You feel like you're being interegated just having a conversation with them and yet, inspite of it all, I love them. Just like most other people, their good qualities outweigh their bad ones. I'm certainly not without flaws. If you look back you'll see that I said I didn't like to talk smack about my husband's family and there I go...See the flaw? Which leads me to my next subject, positive thinking. I think it's something we should all practice more of. I believe that we attract so much of what we think into our reality. So the mere fact that I think they are nosey and vulgar probably only compounds the issue. So I will try to send them love and think good things about them. As I said, I love them. Afterall, they are my family too. If you have any thoughts of the power of attraction, the universal law of like attracts like, please drop me a line. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject. To everyone, Have a safe and happy Labor Day!! Love and Light

Steve Irwin Croc Hunter Killed I guess this shouldn't really come as a huge shock. In his line of "work" something like this was bound to happen sooner or later. The saddest part of the whole sad event is that he left behind a wife and two small children. I remember when he was first on TV. We would watch him and have to laugh at how he thought some of the ugliest creatures were "beautiful" May he rest in peace.

Good Morning! It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood! Yes it is, gorgeous really. I have to make the obligatory run to Walmart...ugh and then off to Walgreens. My life is so glamorous! We are actually going to that cookout today. At least the weather will be nice and there will be lots of babies to hold. Not much time to write today, but I'll be back later. I'm not even going to bother putting in a title, they don't show up anyway?

It all comes true
09.02.06 (8:17 pm) [edit]
It All comes True JOHN MELLENCAMP
I stand here a black man I have no history I was brought up in East Chicago And I grew up on the streets The chains around the playground were the chains around my heart The brand upon my shoulder Well it reminds you who you are
CHORUS: And it all comes true Yes it all comes true Like a wheel inside a wheel It turns on you And you think, What have I done? What can I do? What you believe about yourself It all comes true
I was just a young girl My mother called me ";Hon"; My father was unhappy 'Cause I should have been his son They said, ";Learn to be a waitress and learn to be a wife And be thankful for a chance to live an ordinary life";
CHORUS: And it all comes true Yes it all comes true Like a wheel inside a wheel It turns on you And you think, What have I done? What can I do? What you believe about yourself It all comes true
My life is a contradiction of sorrow and desire I drag my heart across the ash to throw it on the fire Maybe there's a reason and could there be a plan Or are we all just fools to think we'll understand
CHORUS: And it all comes true Yes it all comes true Like a wheel inside a wheel It turns on you And you think, What have I done? What can I do? What you believe about yourself It all comes true
And it all comes true Yes it all comes true Like a wheel inside a wheel It turns on you And you think, What have I done? What can I do? What you believe about yourself It all comes true

September 2 and it's FREEZING!!!
09.02.06 (10:43 am) [edit]
What the heck? I'm not sure of the actual temperature, but I know I've got goosebumps. Hello! It's Labor Day weekend, this isn't supposed to happen. What about the last hoorah of Summer? Bon Fires instead of cookouts, huh? This chilly weather is making me drag. I just want to curl up in bed with the remote or a book What I need to be doing is housework. I'm actually considering hiring someone to come in and help me with the deep cleaning. Heaven knows hubby isn't keen on doing housework and who can blame him?
So I did the Saturday morning thing of banking, post office and some yard sales. I love yard sales. Although this summer has been a bust. I'm dissapointed. I did manage to spend $15 dollars this morning and in the world of yard sales, that can be a lot. So yeah, I did OK this morning.
On another note, I've been looking into liquid nutrition. You know, all the vitamins and minerals you need in a nice tidy glass of reliv or body balance or whatever. I've read some good things about them, but they are expensive! Still, I want to give them a try and see what works best for me. It would be worth the $ if they are for real. I know I don't eat right, so maybe this will help boost my energy level. Anyone have any experience with these? I need to make a run to the library. I'm all out of books, well, almost. I sold a lot of mine this past week on ebay. I hang on to the books I like, but I never read them again, so what's the point? I made around $60 on a handful of them, so I'm thinking of putting some more up. Now I can buy more!!! I spent a good deal of my computer time yesterday surfing tblog. I found some interesting stuff! If any of you long time tblogers have any tips for me, feel free to post them. I'd love to know how to get the most out of this experience. As I said, this is my first time blogging. Heck, I've never even kept a journal or diary. Oh when I was a kid I had one of those little diary's with a lock on it that I wrote in from time to time, but never kept up with it. I wish I had kept a journal from the time I got married, through having children til now. I guess I better get myself busy. I hear dirty dishes calling my name...."doe, oh doe, I'm sitting here in the sink" Go Away!
Paper Plates!! That's the ticket!
Everyone have a safe and happy holiday weekend.

Day One!
09.01.06 (1:25 pm) [edit]
I've never had a blog before, so bear with me. Today is day one of a four day weekend for my hubby. He's playing with his toys...as usual. Of course I can't really say much as I've really gotten nothing accomplished today either. I did manage to make the bed and do a load of laundry. Other than that, I've been eating until I feel like I might burst! I do that around this time of the month. Oh well, I'm considered underweight, so I guess it's ok? Still, I'm always concious of my weight and worry about everything I put in my mouth. And "my bad" I smoke! I really want to quit, I do! I just haven't quite hit that point yet. I hope that when I finally set my mind to it, that I can just lay them down and walk away. It doesn't help that hubby smokes too. There will always be easy access to ciggys. Day One of Sept. The weather is changing and it's still Summer! What happened? Where did the Summer go? Time flies when you're having fun I guess. I love Summer, it's always been my favorite season. And yet, I love Christmas too. Go figure? A couple of years ago, we got dump on by a blizzard with over 2 feet of snow! It was glorious. Day One of Labor Day weekend..no plans other than maybe a cookout at my SIL's house, which I'm not exactly looking forword to. I won't go into all that, because I feel bad talking smack about my inlaws. My daughter who is away at college seems to have dodged Ernesto, thank heavens! She's been through 2 hurricanes and I'm always "concerned" You see, I don't worry, I just get concerned. Hey, this blogging thing isn't so hard afterall! Love and Light Later...
