I wish..
12.02.07 (6:02 pm)   [edit]
I could think of something interesting to blog about but my life, I guess is pretty dull. Not that, that's a bad thing by any means, it just doesn't make for good blogging material.

Today is Dec. 2 and it's was a balmy 67 degrees! Now dang it, I'm ready for some of the white stuff that everyone else is getting. Yes, I'm a big fan of summer but, if it isn't going to be sunny and the grass isn't green, I want to be a snow bunny.

Lexy just called me to make sure she could stay with me when her Mommy is in the hospital having the baby. The baby isn't due until July but, she had to make sure Mimi would be available. That put a smile on my face. Of all the folks she could stay with, she wanted to stay with me.

When I asked her what she wanted Santa to bring her for Christmas, she said "ummm, I don't know." Quickly changing the subject she said, "will you come see my Christmas tree right now, Mimi?" Bless her heart. She doesn't understand that we live nearly an hour away and I can't just make those impromptu visits like I'd like to.

She's really wanting a baby sister and everyone else is rooting for a boy. At least someone will get their wish :)
She told her cousin that he could have the baby if it's a boy!
I think Mommy and Daddy might have something to say about that.

I think I have about half of my Christmas shopping done and for whatever reason, I don't have the overwhelming urge to get it done in any big hurry. Usually I'm scrambling and in a panic by now. I'm feeling pretty laid back about all of it this year and glad of it.
The tree is up and the house is decorated. I've been walking around humming Christmas carols. I even got caught doing a little jig in the grocery store today to the music being piped in. Dang, I thought I was alone in the cookie isle.
Guess I should really look around before I start shaking and wiggling!
