R.I.P. GMan
09.25.07 (7:20 am)   [edit]
I've been a member of a particular MS message board for about 7 years now. There was a man from Canada who was also a member and a very strong presence on the board. His MS was very aggressive, in the 7 plus years that I knew him, he was bedridden. No matter how tough things were for him, he always had a positive thought and a great sense of humor.

I found out this morning that he passed away earlier this month.

I'm caught between being happy for him that he's been released from the prison cell that was his body and being sad.

If anyone handled MS with finesse it was GMan.

The true charecter of a person comes out when faced with great dispair. A lesson we all should learn from your friend. I hope he has found peace.

One hates to lose a friend..even if it's just someone you have e-mailed to, or messaged with..To me what worse, is having them just disappear and you don't know if they in a nursing home, if they died or what...I lost Jeanie in Pennsylvania that way, and also "Organic" that used to post on shoutpost...like to at least know what to pray for!! Thanks for your post!!!!

Sad to hear of a loss of inspiration to others. He is in a better place now and free of the MS pain he had.

Cutter, I'm glad you saw this, I thought you'd want to know and I wasn't sure if you popped in over there anymore.
Really sad but, hopefully he's in a better place.
We can hope.

Sort of a punch in the gut though, huh?

Gman was full of character and had an awesome sense of humor. I felt like I knew him without ever meeting him face to face. He really did live a hellish reality here on earth. I hope he's reaping a reward in Heaven now.
